New Enhancements: Part 3
We realized our mobile websites, m.commercialtrucktrader.com and m.equipmenttraderonline.com were antiquated. This year they would’ve been five years old, so before 2012 ended, we determined that we had to modernize them. How did we do that?
We added all of the search filters we have on the web site to the mobile sites. We also added a new map which pinpoints dealers nearby. There’s also an opportunity for someone to advertise as a Featured Dealership here, on the front page of the app, for users who are local! This provides location specific targeted advertising for your dealership. Ask your rep about this today!
It wasn’t all roses on our mobile efforts, for sure. We launched the t.commercailtrucktrader.com and t.equipmenttraderonline.com sites, targeted to our tablet web users. The feedback we received, while entertaining, also highlighted several short comings. We heard our user’s point of view and disabled the redirects to the tablet site. Until we re-envision what these sites should look like, we’ll continue to keep them out of the way. The end version will look very similar to our mobile sites.
Coming up this year
2013 quarter 2 is going to be the year we expand by leaps and bounds. Financing, trade-in, chat, lead qualifiers, and a bunch of other great tools will start to find their ways onto our sites in all sorts of interesting ways. We want to provide the highest quality leads to our dealers and also provide the most informative tools we can to our buyers to make the most of the CommercialTruckTrader and EquipmentTraderOnline experience.
