Agricultural equipment sales have seen a good year so far. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ June Flash Report Retail Sales indicates that tractor sales are doing just fine, with a total year-to-date farm tractor sales growth of 6.7%.
Construction equipment sales continue to struggle, and will do so until the economy gets into gear. We’re still seeing some increases in rental rates, which may eventually push some renters into becoming buyers. We aren’t anticipating any real breakthrough sales increases until there is tangible growth in housing and commercial construction projects.
EquipmentTraderOnline.com is recording a heightened interest in attachments and implements. The number of online searches for these went up 24% last month compared to the previous month, and they are up nearly 36% over the same period last year.
