According Reuters News, Swedish truck maker Volvo plans to buy the road construction machinery business of Ingersoll-Rand for $1.3 billion.
Volvo is the second largest maker of trucks in the world. The Ingersoll-Rand division purchased by Volvo builds heavy equipment for road building and soil compaction.
The purchase is expected to make Volvo the third-largest construction machinery manufacturer after Caterpillar Inc.
