Construction and excavation business began with one skid steer

The Columbia Tribune features the story of Darrin Wilcoxson and the contracting business he runs in Columbia, Missouri.

Over the last decade he has built a business that now uses over 2 million dollars worth of heavy equipment and employs 26 workers.

Wilcoxson started out doing construction work and excavation. He loved to work with heavy equipment, eventually starting his own company with the purchase of a Case 1845 Skid Steer, similar to the one pictured above.

Have you started your own company using heavy equipment? Have any advice for anyone who might want to do the same? Share your story and post a comment below.
