While harsh winter storms have been causing havoc in cities such as Denver, loggers and snow plow operators are having a tough time with warm weather in Vermont.
The Barre Montpeler Times Argus reports on how the lack of winter weather is keeping snow plows and logging equipment on the sidelines.
With no snow to remove from parking lots and streets, maintenance companies and businesses that sell or use snow plows are feeling the pinch.
Loggers need winter to freeze the ground and protect it from the treads of heavy equipment. If loggers move equipment on the ground while it is warm, the soil might be damaged and erode.
