Ford to introduce new diesel trucks for 2007/2008

As gas prices have risen, truck sales have fallen. Reuters reports that Ford Motor Corporation is responding with a new diesel version of its popular Super Duty pickup in early 2007.

Also arriving soon is Ford’s 2008 F-Series Super Duty pickup aimed at commercial truck buyers, the first diesel pickup engine in the US market with a high-precision fuel injection system.

Powered by the more environmentally friendly Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel, the new trucks are part of a trend by US truck makers to offer more power, cleaner engines, and fuel efficiency.
