UPS is famous for their brown trucks. Now they are testing a truck that is green…as in enviromentally friendly.
News 14 in Charlotte NC reports that UPS and the Environmental Protection Agency unveiled a prototype hybrid delivery truck, which is hoped will save fuel and cut back on emissions.
Unlike other hyrbrid vehicles, like the Toyota Prius, the UPS prototype uses nitrogen to power the truck when moving at speeds under 30mph.
The trucks are hoped to be out delivering packages in two years.
