If you can handle a big rig on a busy freeway, you might feel you can handle just about anything…even elected office.
Former truck driver Norma Cartwright, a candidate in Tennessee’s 4th District Democratic Congressional primary, seems to think she has what it takes to challenge current office holder Rep. Lincoln Davis.
Cartwright says she was motivated to go from the highway to high office due to a variety of issues, ranging from the response to Hurricane Katrina to concerns over national security.
Whether you agree with her politics or not, Cartwright does seem to have strong record when it comes to safety. She claims to have never been issued a single ticket in 16 years of truck driving.
