We all are breathing a sigh of relief now that Congress has passed the Highway Bill that will fund construction programs through September 2014. This will enable transit, road and bridge construction to continue without the fear of more delay. The trucking industry depends on a strong infrastructure to operate efficiently, and passage of this bill will create jobs and spur economic growth – all things that trucking depends on for its success. Regardless of your politics, not renewing this funding would have been a huge mistake.
Visitors to CommercialTruckTrader.com generated over 7 million page views in June. We are seeing signs that the Class 8s are getting a lot of attention in searches, due in large part to the tremendous tightness of supply nationwide. The top searched makes for June were Ford, Chevrolet, Freightliner, International, GMC, RAM, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Isuzu, Mack and Volvo.
