We’re finally seeing a wee bit of movement in the world of heavy equipment. The number of new units posted online has increase slightly over the past few months, which is a sign that dealers are seeing some mitigation in the risk associated with placing new equipment on the lot.
The rental business is still a large and growing part of the equipment industry, and we see little change in that over the next few months, particularly as the economy remains somewhat unsettled.
The dealers and private individuals that post units for sale on EquipmentTraderOnline.com have begun to show more activity over the past three months. Listings have grown by 11% since April. The leaders in the number of current units listed on EquipmentTraderOnline.com, by manufacturer, are Caterpillar, John Deere, LeeBoy, Bobcat, Genie, JCB, Komatsu, Case, Kubota and JLG.
